Sing4JOY / Janet Lyn: Encouraging Words

I love to write.
I love the power of words.
I love how words have the power to encourage and build someone up or give someone hope.
I love how words have the power to share kindness and strength and comfort and peace and faith and compassion and real love.
Words have the power to connect people, to let people know they are not alone.
Words have the power to let people know they are loved and valuable.
That's part of why I love being a writer.

I've been writing for as long as I can remember.

After working for a long time as a full-time journalist, now I write for this website, as a freelance writer and guest columnist for other websites, newspapers, magazines and other publications and I teach writing.
A lot of my writing finds its way into my songs. Being a singer/songwriter is one of my greatest joys.

I'm also working on several book ideas and short stories.
